New Item!  Over time, the capstan shaft on all 8 track players wears a bit and becomes smooth and shiny.  This can cause issues with some of the tapes that used plastic pinch rollers, especially if those tapes have been repaired and now have a piece of splicing tape that has to go between the pinch roller and the capstan shaft.  Sometimes they get stuck.  
 
While this scuffing cartridge isn't as good as having the capstan shaft resurfaced, it is a close second.  This is NOT a capstan cleaner, so the capstan shaft needs to be cleaned BEFORE using this cartridge.  All this does is adds a light, temporary scuff to the capstan shaft.  
 
Insert for 10 to 20 seconds after each cleaning.  
 
Once scuffing pad starts to show wear/become shiny in the spot that hits the capstan.  Simply remove the cleaning pad, flip it over and reinsert it into the cartridge.
