Finally, a replacement "tire" for your PlayTape cart (also works with Apollon/HiPac carts) with a dry rotted, split pinch roller tire. These are the same thickness as the originals. And though I try to get them close width wise, they may be slightly narrower than the originals. So you may need to push the tire to the side your cartridge seems to favor.
 
These press onto the hub pretty easily. But you will need some kind of rubber safe lubricant to get these onto the hub, it is a tight fit! 
 
Personally I use a "dry" spray silicone lubricant available at any hardware store. This lubricant will dry over time. You will need to lubricate the outer edge of the plastic hub where the tire will be slipping over it (just the outer edge, not the inner part where the tire will rest on the hub). And then press the tire onto the hub using your fingers.
