October USPS Domestic Shipping Rate and Delivery time changes.
Some upcoming changes to USPS shipping rates and delivery times. Starting Oct 4 and running until January 17th, the USPS Peak Season rates will kick in on Ground Advantage and Priority Mail packages. Everything you purchase from me is shipped via Ground Advantage. So I will unfortunately have to slightly raise up my shipping prices on domestic shipments. I'm not sure if this will impact international shipments shipped through the Simple Export rate I use. So far I have not been notified of any changes to that.
Starting October 1st, USPS has updated delivery times for Ground Advantage and Priority Mail packages. Basically, expect it to take longer for packages to arrive. I'm not clear as to whether or not this will affect all shipments using those services here in the U.S. Or if it will primarily affect certain zip codes. The new service standards for Ground Advantage will have an expected delivery time of 10 days or more. Some routes may take significantly longer. This may add some time to international shipments, as it may take longer for them to reach the processing facilities, before leaving the U.S.
Starting October 12, Multi-currency will be enabled in my web store. This will allow international customers the convenience of viewing prices and paying in their local currency.
