PLEASE NOTE: These are cut slightly narrower than the plastic hub.  This is intentional.  So you will need to do your best to center these once you get them on the hub. 
 
I have also temporarily changed the type of tubing I'm making these out of due to quality issues.  So these are now a milk white silicone, not black rubber.   If you do buy these, feedback would be much appreciated as to your thoughts on these vs. the rubber ones. 
 
Replacement "tires" for the melted pinch rollers that were an issue with early Ampex/Flat Pak 8 track tapes.  These are the "tires" only.  They do not come with the plastic hub.  You will need to clean off the old crumbling gooey rubber from your current plastic hub.
 
These press onto that hub.  You will need some kind of silicone safe lubricant to get these onto the hub, it is a tight fit! (I contacted the manufacturer of Blaster Industrial Strength Silicone Lubricant and they told me it would be fine to use as a lubricant to get these onto the plastic hub).
 
 You will need to lubricate the outer edge of the plastic hub where the tire will be slipping over it (just the outer edge, not the inner part where the tire will rest on the hub). And then press the tire onto the hub (I use my thumb to get it started on the hub then use the palm of my hand to finish pressing it on).
 
These are sold in 2 different sizes so choose carefully.  This listing is for the Ampex/Flat Pak style replacement "tire".
